Today we climbed to the top of Enchanted Rock. It is a huge granite dome (kind of like Ayer's Rock in Australia). The precambrian rock is over a billion years old. It contains enough Texas pink granite to supply countertops for millions (maybe even billions) of kitchens. We almost ran out of gas on the way back -- I forgot to look at the gas gage.
